Workshop Day 1, Part 3: The Multimedia Principle and Prezi

Exploring Prezi

Next, you will explore the function of our first workshop presentation software, Prezi.

Please follow the following steps (skip these steps if you already have a Prezi account):

Step 1: Go to the Prezi.com for education page.

Step 2: Create an account using the "Edu Enjoy" option. You MUST use your district-issued work email address, or the system will reject your sign up attempt.

Step 3: After creating an account and logging in, click on the "Explore" option at the top of the page.

Step 4: Using the "Explore" option, search Prezi's database for a lesson that interests you, one that you might teach yourself, or perhaps one that fits into your grade level and subject area.

Step 5: Examine this presentation and record a few details about it: how does it fit the Multimedia Principle? Is it cohesive? Can it work as a stand-alone production piece, i.e., could it be used for a "flipped classroom" model? Also record anything else you might find interesting about the presentation.

Once you have finished, please complete the following survey about the presentation you located. Volunteers will be asked to pull their presentation up on the main screen and share their findings about it.
